Surgical Pre & Post-Operative Care
Personalized Care
Before & After Eye
Surgery
We don’t perform surgery, and that’s deliberate — it means our recommendations are always independent and in your best interest. Our strong relationships with trusted eye surgeons ensure you get the right referral every time. We manage everything around the procedure: deciding whether surgery is right for you, choosing the best lens or approach, preparing your eyes beforehand, and looking after your recovery.
Independent guidance on whether surgery is right for you
Pre-operative measurements and lens recommendations

Procedures We Discuss And Co-Manage
Procedures we discuss and co-manage
The right option depends on your eye health, prescription, goals, and the eye surgeon’s recommendation.
Cataract Surgery
A cataract is the eye’s natural lens becoming cloudy. We assess when it is affecting your life enough to be worth discussing, help you choose an implant lens, and handle post-operative care locally.
LASIK and PRK
These laser procedures reshape the cornea. We determine whether your corneas and prescription may suit either option, taking factors such as corneal thickness, prescription stability, and dry eye into account.
Premium Intraocular Lenses
Modern implants can correct far more than the cataract itself. Toric lenses correct astigmatism, multifocal lenses give distance, mid & near vision, and the Light Adjustable Lens (LAL) can be fine-tuned after surgery to match your vision precisely. For many patients, this means little or no need for glasses.
Eyelid Surgery
When eyelid position and/or excess skin causes droopy lids reducing vision, our staff will qualify you for surgical intervention: blepharoplasty. Dr. Tufte personally received this treatment and would love to talk to you about it!
Other Refractive Options
Depending on your eyes, prescription, and goals, we may discuss other refractive options, including Orthokeratology. Ortho-K uses a rigid lens worn overnight to temporarily and reversibly reshape the front surface of the eye.
